10For
we are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so that we
can do the good things he planned for us long ago.
Ephesians
2:10
8 The LORD says, "I will guide you
along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over
you. Psalm 32:8
I am
continually amazed at the works that God has been doing in my life. I have
found it interesting that the more my heart turns toward him and I begin to
rely on Him for just about everything, how I have begun to see more of Him.
It is hard for me to make it through any extended period of the day without
talking to God. I am not talking about praying, I mean talking. When I think
of prayer, I think of petitioning and asking for something. I also think of
it being formal and lifting a situation before God. When I am not praying
for something or somebody and I communicate with the Father, I consider it
talking. Like I was talking to a family member or a close friend. I thank
Him for the day, and for my life and most often times for blessing me with
my position and place in this world. Then there are times when I just need
to talk about something and I know He is always there to listen and to guide
me to the wisdom I need.
I have also begun to notice that the more I give myself over to His will,
the more that I see Him. I am talking about noticing His presence all around
me all the time. Seeing Him in the birds in the sky and in the way that He
cares for them and provides for them. Thinking on the wonder and beauty of
nature. He has the whole universe to consider; yet he takes the time to see
that a blade of grass grows from a tiny seed. Just looking at the Ocean or
feeling the wind blow, knowing how powerful and awesome those forces are and
then knowing that He created them. Then knowing that He took the time to
create me as insignificant as I am compared to those forces, yet he spent
the time giving me details that are unique to me. He spent time thinking on
the best role I could play in His kingdom and how I could best serve his
will and purpose. Then He gave me the gifts and talents I needed to
accomplish what He set before me to do.
Thinking about how awesome and ever present God is always makes me smile. I
mean how could I go through any circumstance and worry? My God really is a
big God. He can do all things and I can do all things through Him. There is
nothing that can separate me from him and there is nothing that can pull me
from his hand. If he has taken so much care and time and invested them in
me, why shouldn't I take the same interest in my own well being, physical,
spiritual or otherwise?
